The CANdrone system was built for CAN Group to produce systematic viewing through fast viewing and data collecting. The UAV distributes high resolution 4k data capture and playback.
The CANdrone is Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) approved. It is able to film live plant screening in challenging areas, allowing optic scrutiny and structural assessments.
Adam Byrne, CAN Group director, said: “The development of CANdrone for our inspection engineering team is very exciting and is part of our ongoing investment in the integrated inspection service that we provide to our clients. This bespoke UAV system brings with it the opportunity to cut operational costs, as the use of drones for inspection can decrease asset downtime and reduces risk when carrying out inspections in hazardous environments.”
